The Project

A working office painted around a design firm's standards

When W Design Collective designed their new Holladay headquarters from the ground up, every surface was specified — down to the paint line and plaster finish. Hillside Painting handled the full interior: regular paint on walls across the entry, offices, kitchen, and break areas; every trim run and door; and hand-applied Roman Clay plaster where the design called for a softer, dimensional surface.

The conference room and design library carry Portola Roman Clay in Topanga, applied in controlled passes so the walls read calm under the office's natural light. Glazed entry doors and trim in Farrow & Ball Cardamom, a WC door and bath trim in deep Liquorice, and kitchen cabinetry finished in Sealskin show the range of detail work the project required.

Working in an active design studio meant clean masking, careful sequencing, and a jobsite that stayed presentable — the same discipline Hillside brings to occupied homes and small commercial spaces across the Salt Lake Valley.
